Student card

  • When you registered, you received a student card. On the front of your student card you will find your username.

Email

  • After registration, you will receive a KU Leuven e-mail address with this form: firstname.lastname@student.kuleuven.be

After your registration, it is possible that synchronisation with other IT systems such as Toledo or your mailbox may take a while. It's best to try again the next day.

If you do not have a PC temporarily, you can always visit our PC classrooms or the libraries.

ICTS has campus licences for most science packages, where the software is free or can be purchased for a small student fee via the website or through the ICTS Customer Centre.

Free Microsoft 365 for students

All KU Leuven students can download and use Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus for free.

OneDrive

In most university buildings (libraries, auditoriums, Alma's, etc.) there is wireless internet: campusroam and eduroam.

campusroam and eduroam

  • The preferred network in our buildings is campusroam, but we also offer eduroam the wireless network found in many educational institutions worldwide.
  • To use campusroam, set it up once on your PC, smartphone or tablet. After that, it works automatically.
  • Note, you log in with your r-number followed by @kuleuven.be, e.g. r0123456@kuleuven.be.
  • You can find all the info on our wireless internet at KU Leuven pages.

Toledo, the electronic learning environment

Toledo is the electronic learning environment of the KU Leuven Association. During your classes, professors and lecturers are likely to refer you to their courses on Toledo. Toledo extends your classes: you will find course texts, slides, more information, links, discussion forums,... and offers a plethora of communication channels between students and professors.

Enrolment in Toledo subjects is done automatically via the KU Loket (ISP), supplemented if necessary via the Toledo enrolment module.

KU Loket, the administrative portal

Via KU Loket you can check and adjust some administrative matters.

You will have access to your student file, your personalised timetable, your study progress file and, from the beginning September, also to your individual study programme (ISP), which you have to prepare before mid October. From the end of September, you will also have access to your individual examination schedule (IER).

Schedule

In KU Loket you will also find your KU Leuven timetable. And you can consult it wherever and whenever you want! Via your smartphone, tablet or PC.

On your smartphone, go like this:

  • You can synchronise your timetable with the OutlookWebApp of your KU Leuven calendar. You can load it into the calendar application of your smartphone or tablet. So you always have your timetables in your pocket, even without an internet connection.
  • Online, you can also view the timetable directly via the timetable web app.

On your computer:

On your tablet, laptop or PC, you can of course also use the timetable from the "regular" KU Loket, under the 'Education and students' tab.

To get started, surf with your smartphone to www.kuleuven.be/kuloket

KU Leuven takes care of your online health.

This is the baseline of our information security campaign "e-mune".

The e-mune website gives you all the tips and information you need to go online safely with your PC, tablet or smartphone. And in between, you will receive regular tips and info from us via flyers and newsletters.

If you don't have a computer or internet connection at your dorm, you can always visit the ICTS PC classrooms..

ICTS has PC classrooms at various campusses, where you can go every day to work with a whole host of applications. You save your work on a USB stick, or on your network drive. The next time you log in from another PC, you will see the same files again.

You can also print, scan, and have posters printed on large format (up to A0).

With your own laptop, you can also work in peace and quiet and with all the necessary facilities at the learning centre AGORA.
