Campus licenses and software

Via ICTS students and personnel at KU Leuven - and in some cases Association KU Leuven- have access to a whole range of software packages with advantageous KU Leuven conditions. A full list of campus licenses and software managed bij ICTS can be found in the ICTS Service Catalogue.

The software offered in the ICTS Service Catalogue is only intended for use in research and educational contexts. If you want to use specific software for administrative applications or commercially-based research, please verify with ICTS first, since most license agreements do not allow this type of use.

Cost

The scientific software offered in the ICTS Service Catalogue is not centrally financed. The cost for this software is therefore charged to the users. In order to keep the billing of the software simple, transparent and manageable a specific set of principles is adopted and can be consulted on the webpage Principes doorrekening wetenschappelijke software (Dutch only).

Student versions

ICTS also offers student versions for a large number of scientific software packages. These can be ordered and paid online by VISA/MasterCard/Bancontact via the ICTS Service Catalogue.

Student versions are only offered to students for their Bachelor or Master's programme. Staff members who are also registered as students have to purchase an academic/research license using KU Leuven funds.
