If you have problems with your kotnet connection, a 100 Mbit or Gigabit network card in your computer can be the cause. Verify the speed settings of your network card. An 'AUTO' configuration can lead to a situation where the network card wants to use the highest possible speed to connect and this doesn't always succeed on KotNet. Try configuring your card on '10 Mbps half-duplex' and try the connection again.
