KU Leuven and Telenet ended KotNet in beauty after 20 years.
For many years KU Leuven and Telenet have been working together to offer fast and cheap internet to students, even when broadband internet wasn't established yet. KotNet was a pioneer for student internet. Since it had grown out this pioneer role, KU Leuven and Telenet decided to put an end to KotNet. On the first of October 2018 KotNet has ended.
The KotNet-product that was discontinued, is the internet product Telenet offered for students on private rooms. The internet at KU Leuven-residences sometimes was called "KotNet" too but it is actually another product (CampusNet). CampusNet just continues to exist.
